This Fri. Night
the 10th. Oct. we have our big fundraising Night at the Races in Lynchs Tavern,
First race at 9-30. Once again we have received great support for this event
from both sponsors of Races and people purchasing entries. The Club is sincerely
appreciative of this support and sincere thanks to all. All we want now is for a
good attendance on the night to create a good atmosphere and all are assured of
a good nights entertainment.
On Sun. 12th. Oct. is our County Final in the Jun. A Championship against
Carndonagh in Mc Cool Pk. Throw in 4pm. The team have prepared well for this
match, but we are under no elusions of the magnitude of the task in store.
Carndonagh are a good team , one of the best in the division, but we know that
if we can play to the best of our ability, we can be a match for any team. Lets
hope we can achieve this standard on Sun. and bring the Cup back to Castlefin
and the Finn Valley.
The Club appreciate the hard work of the Ladies who have made up the bunting and
flags and the Men who erected them and have made the town looking well. We
appeal to all our supporters, who have been magnificent all year, to really come
out in big numbers on Sun. wear your club colours and get behind the team. Good
vocal support can get the team through the difficult patches that every team
goes through in a game. We wish the Mgm. Team and players the best of luck on
Sun. and hopefully we will have a victory to celebrate on Sun.Evening.
St. Marys Convoy play as a curtain raiser in the B Final and we wish them the
best of luck as well.
Club Polo shirts, Rain Jackets and replica jerseys are still available for
purchase from Club Officers.
Congrats to Setanta on reaching the Ulster Club Semi-Final and special word for
our two Emmets players Simon Mc Menamin and Michael Lafferty, who are members of
that team
